Affiliate Marketing Reviews

In the upcoming weeks, we are going to be allocating a greater percentage of the posts to affiliate marketing reviews, looking at what certain affiliate programs have to offer and the benefit to promoting them. Affiliate programs can be a great source of revenue from both ends, promoting the affiliate's product or service, or having affiliates promote your product or services. More to come soon. Internet Marketing - SEO or Paid Placement?

If you are new to Internet Marketing, it may at first seem overwhelming on where to begin to market your site on the Web. Marketing online is in many ways, similar to marketing your business "off line." You have to look at your target demographics, selling price of your product and service, and the cost per acquisition or profit per sale. Having this information before moving forward with a marketing campaign, can save you in the long run. These days, there seem to be 2 sides for getting traffic to your site, the natural search engine traffic side, and the paid placement side. For those sites newer to the game or that don't have a large budget for search engine optimization, the quick and easy fix is paying per click or per visitor. The two most prevalent outlets are Google and Yahoo/Overture. Both of these engines are great way to start out with the keywords you feel are relevant without spending a whole bunch. The downside is that you pay for each and every visitor that comes to your site, which can get expensive over time. You will want to track the traffic and the conversions, to make sure you are making a profit and not just running through your budget. Search engine optimization covers two main areas these days. The first is optimizing the actual things on your site, such as the META data. This is the first step in getting your site ranked higher in the search engines. The name of the game here is choosing the right keywords, not only for traffic, but for conversion. The second part of the formula is back links. Back links are text links from other relevant websites pointing back to your site, such as INTERNET MARKETING. The hard part is contacting other sites to link to you which can be a very time consuming and exhaustive task. You will want to make sure your site is in some of the major directories, such as the Yahoo Directory and DMOZ.org. You can also buy links, however most link brokers charge a pretty hefty fee, and charge for the links monthly. If you stop paying for the links, you no longer have the links pointing at your site. Market Set Go offers link building through their blog network, as well as other services mentioned above, and can be reached at www.marketsetgo.com. Technorati Tags: , , ,
